Daytime Storytelling Experience
A Guided Tour with one of our Storytellers.
Experience Irish folktales, myths, and legends, performed live by one of our talented storytellers. A journey through Irish history, heritage and culture, in Ireland’s first museum dedicated to the craft of traditional, oral storytelling.
Daytime tours are 45-50 minutes long, running every half-hour from 10:30 – 17:30.
- Spaces are limited, so booking in advance is always recommended
- The tour consists of live performances of traditional storytelling, performed entirely through English. A good understanding of spoken English is essential to enjoy the experience.
- Tours in Irish are available by appointment.
- Suitable for ages 6 and over.
Darkland Storytelling Experience
For Adults Only – Experience the Twisted side of Irish Storytelling
As the light fades, our stories grow richer. Step into the shadows for an hour long, adults-only storytelling experience.
Listen to grim and grisly tales drawn from Irish folklore and mythology, performed live by one of our talented storytellers.
- Spaces are limited – booking online is always recommended.
- Darkland showcases live, unscripted, traditional storytelling, performed solely through English. A good understanding of spoken English is necessary to fully enjoy the experience.
- Darkland is strictly for guests aged 18 and over. Photo ID may be required.

Darkland - The Last Boat
This October, join the Museum’s Storytellers for a special edition of Darkland.
Voyage into the unknown on an immersive, hour long storytelling experience, featuring live performances of traditional Irish folktales, myths and legends by a talented cast of storytellers and singers. This October, the Museum becomes a portal to the seas surrounding a ghostly island.
As the summer draws to a close, take The Last Boat to search for the land of Tyrannya. Meet the island’s odd inhabitants, hear their stories and listen closely – your safe return may depend on it.
- Darkland -The Last Boat will be replacing our regular Darkland shows for the month of October.
