Open House Dublin, Ireland's biggest architecture festival, allows citizens to explore the architecture of their city. We are hosting 2 events - a design-led tour for adults, and our family event - Scéal in the City.
Scéal in the City - Exploring the local area through its stories. (Family Event)
Just around the corner from the museum, we bring to life the history of Capel Street. See the street as it was in 1850, compare with today, and re-imagine it for the future.
The event starts with a short walking tour of the area with stories about the street, its buildings and the people who lived there, followed by a creative workshop, inspired by the stories that you've heard.
Ticket-holders will meet at the museum, and from there go on a a short walking tour of Capel Street. The tour will lead the group back to the end room of the museum where there will be a creative workshop inspired by the stories that you've heard and led by some of our team.
The event does not include a tour of the National Leprechaun Museum, but all those who take part will receive discounted entry to the museum at a time of their choosing. Families that take part in Scéal in the City will gain entry to the museum for €20 instead of €27.
This is a family event. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tour of the National Leprechaun Museum with Tom O'Rahilly (Adult Event)
This interactive museum transports visitors to the heart of Irish cultural identity and imagination.
These design-led tours by the director/designer of the museum, Tom O'Rahilly, will outlay the inspiration behind the project, and give you an insight into the process of devising and designing the museum. This tour is suitable for adults only.
